Free domain droplist/auction scanning tool
Hi everyone, Dan again.
As you know Domaining.in is under new management!
As you have seen we have been doing a lot of work around here to spruce up the site, among those tasks has been deleting old irrelevant posts and links. However, I found this post left from the past owner and decided to keep it here, as many readers seemed to like the”FREE TOOL LINK”, enjoy!
THE OLD POST IS IN QUOTATIONS BELOW:
Just a very quick post as I’m super busy at the moment. Just wanted to let you know (do I actually have any readers yet?!) that I have made one of my domain scanning tools available. I wrote the tool years ago when I was learning/improving my Perl coding skills. It’s very rough and not particularly accurate but I’ve used it in the past to find many real gems that are hidden in huge drop lists and domain auctions.
So how does it work? Simple, I have a database of search terms (incomplete and out of date – so it will miss some blatantly awesome domains sorry!) and the tool will scan droplists against these terms. It then assigns a score to each domain, in theory the higher the score the better the domain (this doesn’t always work out in practice though). The domain list updates on a daily basis and includes expiring domains as well as Snapnames, NameJet and GoDaddy auction exclusives.
Why am I releasing this free to the public? Well I’m part-time domaining at the moment, between my job and family life I don’t get a while lot of spare time to buy and sell domains. Obviously I’d hope that my site/blog get a few more visitors and links this way too…
